One The highly-acclaimed and ever-popular TradFest Temple Bar returns to Dublin from January 25-29, 2023 with more than 100 Irish artists and international performers at 85 events in cultural venues across the city.
Now in its 18thseason, 2023 TradFest offers a perfect balance between seasoned traditional legends and brilliant young artists at the start of their careers, with wonderful forays that celebrate women in music and connect Ireland's storied literary traditions with its music.

American singer/songwriter Judy Collins is surely a highlight of the schedule. The Grammy Award winner performs at St. Patrick's Cathedral in the heart of Dublin on January 28. Across town that same evening, Imbolg – A Celebration of Women in Trad takes place at the National Stadium, featuring Grammy-nominated singer Mary Chapin Carpenter, T with the Maggies, the Sí Fiddlers, harpist Brídín and others.

On the literary front, Irish actor Stephen Rea presents Saíocht, an exploration of the artistic relationship between the Irish literary tradition and Irish traditional music, while Lorcán Mac Mathúna presents a musical version of Milton's classic Paradise Lost.
Irish trad lovers will flock to hear Dervish performs from their album The Great Irish Song Book joined by a host of top acts including Eddie Reader and Cara Dillon. And Belfast-based producer cbakl presents a world premiere of seanfhocail, a bold reimagining of traditional music combining archive samples with hip-hop, eclectic beats, spoken word, jazz, R&B, soul and house.

Based along the cobblestoned streets of Temple Bar, TradFest continues to expand its presence at landmark venues in Dublin, including the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, Dublin Castle, St Patrick's Cathedral, the National Stadium, Pepper Canister Church, the GPO Museum, Button Factory and Grand Social.

Beyond Dublin are special performances at Swords Castle Chapel and in the Banquet Hall at Malahide Castle.
